Heartbroken, In Disrepair
Another amazing song by Dan Auerbach. So I figured, while I'm at it...
Plus, my Safari isn't working well with youtube (very frustrating), and I want quick access to these videos for my own sake.

Mean Monsoon
Here's a live performance of "Mean Monsoon" by Dan Auerbach. I could honestly rave about this guy for hours. Everything he does is gold! Gold I tell ya!
I recommend you watch and listen, breathe then repeat, then check out everything else he's ever done... everything.

I haven't posted anything in the last few days, mainly because we had some dear friends come over for a little holiday. It was meant to be a holiday for them, but ended up being the same for us.... un-deservedly to say the least. But it was filled with laughs, nightly bon fires, mountain hiking/climbing, beaching, markets, eating lots of delicious food and drinking entirely too much red wine. Lots and lots of red wine... I still feel it tonight.
But I climbed a mountain, so I reckon it balanced out.

Pictured above: The Calpe Ifach (the enormously oversized rock that we conquered. Trust me, it's bigger than it appears.)
Also pictured: Jalon Market... Well obviously thats not the whole market, just one of it's more picturesque stalls.

The Bam and Moe Show
Moe had a little encounter with something he didn't agree with during his morning pee wondering. Then quickly ballooned up and ultimately turned into a Shar-Pei looking creature, with swollen eyes and bumps and lumps covering him. But a speedy trip down to the vet and a few hours later, he was back to his normal self. Poor buggar felt pretty so sorry for himself though, and gave us a good worry...
Bam on the other hand, stayed home and ate grass.

Just a Thought
An old illustration first done with pen and paper. Well, it actually started as two separate drawings that some how magically fit perfectly together. For some reason, I don't know why, I have a tendency to draw faces, as I'm sure you'll notice as time goes on.

Afterwards, I was also swarmed with fans and had all the press junk-its and not to mention all the autograph signing... It's exhausting.

Old Cork
These are some old shots from County Cork, Ireland, where I used to live as wee one. They're all from 1890 to 1910-ish.

Gentlemen Love Light Swords
Here's a T-shirt design by Alvaro Arteaga Sabaini. It was one of the designs to be chosen on threadless.com... and I want it! I love it as a print, and I think it looks awesome as a T-shirt.

Nice Marmot
This is a poster designed by Jay Ryan. For those who don't recognize the concept, it's taken from one of the best scenes, in, with out a doubt, one of the best films of all time... The Big Lebowski.
Jay Ryan is a Chicago-based poster artist who has done posters for The Flaming Lips, Andrew Bird, Flight of The Conchords and many more. Known for his work with squirrels, dinosaurs and other creatures, Jay knew exactly what to do when he heard the phrase "Nice Marmot."

KIng Charles
My girlfriend introduced me to "The Black Cab Sessions" a few months ago, which is basically up and coming artist performing a song while driving around London in the back of a Black Cab. Every one I've heard just blew me away. The songs are striped down the their pure, organic sound and really show the artists true style and talent. The one I've chosen to post today is King Charles, who I had never heard of before seeing this, but now is one of my favorite songs. You can't help but feel good when you hear it.

Walk on the Beach
Today we went for a walk on the beach in the Spanish town village concrete jungle that is Calpe. It isn't renowned for it's Spanish culture, but it does have one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen... and it's about 10 minutes down the road.

Lucy Pop
I'm sure you'll see a lot of Lucy on here. Mainly because she's always around... and she does make for a good subject.

Paolo
If you haven't heard this album yet, I totally recommend you do so. I have to say, I was a bit hesitant about Paolo, as I had only heard a couple of his older songs and they were... ok-ish. Nothing to write home about. But I have to say, this album is great from start to finish.
